Encrypt Image Online — Browser-Based Image Encryption Tool
Encrypt your images locally in the browser. No upload, no server, no trace.
Local Encryption in Your Browser
hiddenPix performs all image encryption and decryption entirely within your web browser. Your images are never uploaded to any server during processing. The encryption key is derived from your password, and the scrambling or embedding happens on your device, using your machine's resources. Nothing leaves your computer until you choose to share the already-encrypted result.
Two Encryption Methods
hiddenPix offers two distinct approaches. Scramble Mode divides your image into configurable pixel blocks and shuffles them using a password-derived permutation — the result looks like abstract static, visually unreadable. Steganography Mode encrypts your image and hides it inside the pixels of a cover photo — the output looks like an ordinary picture, with the secret embedded invisibly. Both use XOR encryption with your password as the key.
No Server, No Upload, No Knowledge
Because everything happens locally, hiddenPix has zero knowledge of your content. We cannot see your original images. We do not know your password. We have no access to your unencrypted data. This is not a policy — it is an architectural guarantee. The encryption code runs in your browser. The server only ever sees already-encrypted files, and even those are auto-destroyed after 24 hours.
Why Choose Browser-Based Encryption
Uploading sensitive images to a server for encryption defeats the purpose — the server sees the original. Browser-based encryption keeps your content on your device. Combined with steganography for disguised sharing, it creates a privacy workflow that traditional cloud encryption tools cannot match. Encrypt locally, share publicly, reveal selectively.
